Namir Khaliq is the founder and head of operations for Protostellar Media, a film, TV, and digital media production company built specifically to help scientists tell stories about their work. The company provides the groundwork for scientists and academics to establish themselves as part of the creative process for various nodes of the media industry.  Prior to Protostellar, Namir worked in feature film and scripted television development at Imagine Entertainment, the multi-Academy and Emmy Award winning production company of director Ron Howard and producer Brian Grazer. He has also worked in documentary development at Story Syndicate, founded by Academy Award winning documentary directors and producers Liz Garbus and Dan Cogan. He previously worked at film production companies including Mosaic Media Group, Everyman Pictures, and Funny or Die. Namir also writes and researches for publications including Vanity Fair, Nautilus Magazine, The Atavist, Big Think, Reason Magazine, and Aeon.
