Keri Kukral
Founder & Board Chair
Keri Kukral is the Founder & Board Chair of the Raw Science Film Festival, a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating exceptional science storytelling through film. She founded the festival to bring discovery to broader audiences and to elevate fact-based experts through the power of storytelling.
Keri is a biomedical engineer, film producer, and former professional ballet dancer. Her career spans leadership roles in medical technology, where she has guided the development of innovative healthcare products from concept through commercialization.
Since founding the festival, Keri has led its transformation into a cultural institution that elevates science through the power of storytelling. The Festival advances public engagement by bringing discovery to the screen and placing science on center stage.
The Raw Science Film Festival is made possible in part with funds from regrant programs supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. The programs are administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC). Under Keri's leadership, the organization continues to expand its reach through year-round programming, strategic partnerships, and a commitment to excellence in science storytelling.
