WELCOME TO RSFF2O19

Science, art, and media intersect at the fifth annual Raw Science Film Festival. The winning films screen during the day on January 26, 2019 followed by a red carpet awards ceremony to honor the very best in science-based media around the world. Join science educators, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and leaders of the tech industry for a memorable evening together.

The black-tie optional awards ceremony includes drinks and appetizers. Creative sci-tech attire is encouraged. The event is sponsored by Nokia Bell Labs E.A.T. program and History’s Project Blue Book.

This year’s festival celebrates the 50th Lunar Landing Anniversary. Lil Buck will perform a “moonwalk” to inspire a new generation. Special guests include Nobel Prize winner Kip Thorne, Sydney Colston Host of “Behind the Groove,” Sheldon Reynolds (Formerly of Earth Wind & Fire), Tony Pizarro (Super Producer for Tupac Shakur  "Dear Mama"), Richie Onori (from the band SWEET), Gary Miller, Spencer Galbraith, Paris Escovedo, Ciamara Morales and performances by Susaye Greene and  Scherrie Payne of The Supremes as well as the WJM Band and pianist Chase Morrin. WISH 107.5 will join, one of the fastest rising all-hits radio stations in the metro that not only grants song requests but also the listeners’ (or Wishers as they are fondly referred to) own personal wishes. It is also known for pioneering innovative endeavors that revolutionized the traditional FM radio broadcast practices.

The VIP package includes premium seating at the awards ceremony as well as private tours (per request) followed by an exclusive networking event after the awards ceremony on 1/26.

The event is sponsored by Nokia Bell Labs E.A.T. program and History’s Project Blue Book.

WISH 107.5, one of the fastest rising all-hits radio stations in the Los Angeles area, will join us at the festival. WISH 107.5  not only grants song requests, but also grants the personal wishes of their listeners (or Wishers as they are fondly called). The station is also known for pioneering innovative endeavors that revolutionized the traditional FM radio broadcast practices.
